The Walkabout Series is a project that I’ve done for over 15 years. It’s a combination of fine art photography, architectural photography and abstract art. I process all of my Walkabout photos as black and white pieces.
Typically, I’ll take a series of photos as I explore an area over an extended walk. I’m looking for unique textures, the way light and shadow affect the environment, interesting angles and abstraction.
If you’re used to my typical style of photography then you may be surprised by this series, but it’s just as much an exploration of art, as it is an almost zen-like practice to calm my mind and look at things in a new way.
